Aisling was born on 16 March 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and well-known comedians. She has been on QI along with Stephen Fry. The surname she uses is Bea to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who killed himself at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she turned thirteen. Her stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. Bea published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea as well as her older sister Sinead, were raised by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. Bea spent her childhood as an instructor at the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she was not interested in the racing industry. She was more interested in the performance arts.
